Keep up the good work, my dept as well is an all african american dept in NJ, known as Lawnside Volunteer Fire Dept known as the "Knock Down Crew" We too have experience many of the same hardships,however hope all is well and please forward information regarding future affairs parades ect, would like too stop by, later. Nice to see some old friends are still active at the Oaks. I have fond memories of working with Chief Willie Rodney at the old house, and being involved with Chapel Oaks during my time with PGFD. |

I was born and raised in Chapel Oaks. My father, Willie Rodney, Jr., was one of the founding fathers. I hope his legacy will live on in Company 38. He practically spent his entire life there mentoring and helping others. RIP my father - I will always love you. |
