Shortly after starting an area drill in the 6800 block of Seat Pleasant Drive. Members (rookies) was getting a crash course on the proper time and place to deploy long length lines in the 1st due. Just after the company performed a walk thru, the lucky rookies escaped having to pull the 400’attach line through Bldg. 6802 to Bldg. 6800, when E838A & A838 was alerted to transfer to station 25 while they worked a Task Force in Co. 23’s area. The crews covered station 25’s for nearly 2 hours before returning back to the 1st due. E838B was placed in service to cover the 1st due while E838A & A838 was on the transfer.
