Prince George’s County Fire Communication dropped tones for “Box 3812” for a reported house fire at 1200 BLK of Gondar Ave, in Chapel Oaks, alerting units in the 1st Battalion. E838 arrived to found a one story single family home, with smoke showing. The crew quickly deployed a 200ft inch and 3/4 line, to a bedroom on side “A” Alpha, where they made quick work of a small fire.
 
The cause of the fire was from an elderly resident smoking a cigar. Chief 838 Jonathan Bolden had Command, while Chief 838A James Felder Division 1. The units operated on the scene for about an hour, before returning to service.
