Two Trapped on Route 50

PGFD Communications received numerous calls regarding an accident on eastbound route 50 near Landover Road involving a tractor trailer and two other vehicles. E838, E809, SQ822, A838, A822, EMS801 and Battalion 801 dispatched on the assignment. SQ822 arrived on the scene and confirmed two trapped. E838 deployed a 200 ft 2inch attack line in support of SQ822. E809 & E838 crews worked to assisted SQ822 with the extrication. Both victims were quickly extricated and transported to PG Hospital Trauma Center by A838, A822 & MD812. The pair, had serious injuries but are expected to make a full recovery. Units operated for about an hour on scene before packing up and returning to service Battalion chief 801 Jimmy Strain had the incident command and Chief 838A James Felder had extrication.
